I said...dont you know....

I cannot believe I wasted ninety minutes of my life watching the England-Holland friendly last night. It was easily one of the most boring matches of all time. I know it was a friendly but that shouldnt make it a cure for insomnia! I'm still wondering what Eriksson is doing to justify earning 4 million pounds a year if he picks the team with all the skill of an epileptic monkey. I'm not English but I take his incompetence very personally.
The Brits were on last night and aside from some strange choices -'Your game' by Will Young as song of the year? McFly as best pop group? wtf- A lot of people finally got some overdue recognition. Keane winning two awards was the highlight because they are the best British band at the moment (until Coldplay returns of course!) and there was the win for The Streets which was right on as well. If you haven't bought 'A grand don't come for free' then get going-its one of the most unique music experiences you will ever have.
Franz Ferdinand- I dont really understand these guys. Is it allowed to play rock music wearing a suit? And what in heaven's name is 'Take me out' really about? It's catchy but they could be singing about anything for all we know and for some strange reason they all look like they escaped from a lab.
Lunch and dinner have become very strange experiences mainly because me and the cooks are not bonding that well. Some days they put enough soup on your plate to drown a cat in it and then when you get to the solid food section, the lady just puts a small scoop of mashed potatoes. I stand there looking at her trying to make her see the error of her ways but she oh so cleverly looks over my shoulder, to my right, to my left...everywhere but at me. I officialy don't exist after I've got my quota.
I clear my throat and do the Oliver Twist routine "Erm..I...is there..Can I have some more?"
She looks at me as if to say "Are you still here? I thought you'd go away after I pretended not to see you" Instead she smiles sweetly and says "I'm sorry but that's all I can give you"
"Ummm" I reply still taking my sweet time to move down the line. It's not like the food is even appetizing anyway, but I have to eat you know.

Sorry to hear about the food troubles. Maybe you should have a talk with the cooks and tell them to get on the same page.
