My dream soundtrack...
The script is about halfway through and my brother has picked up where I left off. However a very crucial element in every film as you would agree is the soundtrack. I'm sure most filmmakers have the music set out long before the script has been fleshed out (Tarantino probably STARTS with the music and builds from there) Well having spent months thinking about it, I think I have an idea of my dream soundtrack (subject to sudden change of course)
Someday: Sugar Ray
Something good: Bic Runga
They say Vision: Res
Amsterdam: Coldplay
Stranger in Moscow: Michael Jackson
Caravan holiday: Stereophonics
Waiting for you: Seal
Don't forget me when I'm gone: Glass Tiger
Something's always wrong: Toad the wet sprocket.
Clarity: John Mayer
The end of the innocence: Don Henley
Barely breathing: Duncan Sheikh
While I love all those songs, this is NOT a selection of my 12 all-time favourite songs. They are just songs I feel can really work well with certain scenes. Most of the songs are sad because....well its a sad script that's why. 'Amsterdam' by Coldplay is the song I would love to end the film with.
