Dammnit I demand the right to be silent!
I think we the silent people of this world are much maligned. All we want is peace and quiet most of the time and what do we get? Well a lot of false names thats what! I'm aloof by nature but people always tend to take this the wrong way and assume I'm shy. Well whack me over the head and call me Billy, but is that fair? If I was shy, would I be dancing on my head and wearing a Mexican firefighters costume outside the University nighclub every night? Wait, I think that last part was a dream- my bad....

This is a hilarious post. Diana King man...that brought back memories. Hehe. I know yall posted this a few mos. back but I appreciate the doofus part for real. (no disrespect)
As for the shyness. My uncle is a quiet guy who thinks a lot but in North America/Western Europe this translates into stupidity. Africans tend to respect the silent ones, NAs and Europeans tend to overlook them. A North American will explain every little thing ad nauseum taking away any beauty, etc. from the moment of enjoyment, i.e.:
'I love that dress on you honey, the beads on the bottom really flatter your upper half, making your torso look svelte. That fitness routine really helps out..."
Like, just shut up, right? Ok. I think I have a bone to pick with some of my fellow students at Uni talkin' bout everything till it becomes nothing.
