How a Swedish woman changed my life...
I was about seven when I stumbled on a book called 'Ronia the robber's daughter' and it changed my life competely.
I never got through it of course- it was over a hundred pages and there were plenty of tough words to keep me running to my brother- but from that day onwards, I was obsessed with books. I could not believe this amazing world of the written word had existed all this time and no one had informed me. I cannot really remember the details of the plot- well, except that it was about Ronia and she was, well a robber's daughter and got involved in plenty of shenanigans. However it was riveting especially to my young mind and if I ever saw that book again in a bookstore, heaven help the poor soul standing between me and that book.
The author is the same person who gave us the irritating as hell/ sweet and lovable (depending on your view) Pippi Longstocking. Her name is Anna Lundgren and I owe her an awful lot. This humble post is my tribute to her.

you read pippi longstocking? i thought there were some books that you're like the only one that ever knows they exist just cuz you never see them anywhere else besides your home library (ok, maybe the books stacked under our staircase is not exactly a library but we fondly call it that). i'm on a search for ronia, the day i find her i'll tell you . . . posting it to you would be too much trouble!
