"I have a plan so cunning you could brush your teeth with it"

Aahhhh Wantage...I swear when I walked into this place on Sunday morning I very nearly did what the Pope does when he gets off the place- yes I was this close to just kneeling down and kissing the ground. Only the presence of a few students lining up to get their keys prevented me from showing my appreciation. And the bathrooms were so clean! Yes, I sound like a 'munyachalo' but people, Wells Hall was not funny. Celebrated by getting drunk Monday evening with some friends, and I still managed to make it for breakfast and my 9am revision lecture which calls for a round of applause. And no hangover. Aah, here is to cunning plans. Cheers.
Bizzare analogy of the day courtesy of Raymond "Minzo, your blog is like a pregnant spider"
Oh yeah, the hair is gone now. It was really getting out of hand and it had already declared its independence and started designing its own flag before I stepped in. I'm going to miss it though. I feel very strange without my afro.
Today I read 'Ronia the Robber's daughter' for the first time in fifteen years (it's by Astrid Lingren who also wrote the 'Pippi Longstocking' books). This is the book that changed my life- I stumbled on it when I was about seven and reading it (well trying to- I cant be sure if I completely understood it then) made me love books from that moment on. So it obviously has a very important place in my heart because I still remember reading a book for the first time as being one of the biggest thrills I've ever experienced. I looked it up in the library yesterday and I wasnt allowed to borrow it for some reason- I was only allowed to read it in a special archives room. It was incredible to hold it in my arms again and weirdly enough I remembered certain parts of the book like the part when Ronia gets her foot stuck in the snow. Yes- the high point of my day was sitting in the library reading a children's book.

I deny these true accusations on said analogy, I plead virtual insanity! Jamirquoi did! I think I need a funky hat!

i thought you were weird but since you love books almost as much as i do, i forgive you. yesterday i was walking with a couple of guy friends and i saw a book store and just run into it cuz the da vinci code was on display. one of them said to me 'you're special, different' and i guess it wasn't meant to be a compliment but hey, i can't help but love books. and the pipi longstocking books were one of my first too.
