Everything all of the time (the sophie song without the tune- deja vu )

Christ, what a cold cold evening. I had to walk to and fro the agriculture building which is about twenty minutes away and I got here with my ears frozen solid and my fingers flirting with frostbite.

Anyway last night- Life in the underground with sir David Attenbrough was on BBC2 and it was probably the best thing that's been on TV this month. There was some revolutionary camerawork to say the least and even the tiniest insects were captured on camera in some incredible moments. Scorpion mating dance? the bat-eating centipede? They were all here, and many of these things had been captured on camera for the first time. Fantastic stuff, I can't wait for next Wednesday.

In the spirit of my recent I-still-believe-in-true-love post, I'm going to be running my favorite romantic poems starting with this one by e.e Cummings called 'I carry your heart with me'. It's a bit unorthodox...

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
